11:35 AM EDT, 10/12/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BofA Global Research reiterated its buy rating on Schneider Electric (SU.PA) despite negative market reaction to the company's planned purchase of US-based software company PTC, viewing the deal as an opportunity for further growth. "Overall, we think the main frustration is that PTC detracts from what remains a very robust data-centre story. We remain 4-5ppts ahead of cons on Energy Management org growth in 2027-28, which remains the core driver of our investment case. Following the 12% share-price fall since the deal was announced, we think the market has overreacted," analysts said Monday. "The significant distribution provided by PLM also creates a route to deploy new AI capabilities over time. We see further opportunities to leverage PTC across Energy Management, which should provide additional avenues for growth." The research firm also noted that the Energy Management segment would still account for 75% of Schneider's group revenue, even with PTC being part of the French energy management and automation group. The stock's price objective of 362 euros was also retained.
