Meta has released a new artificial intelligence model called Muse Wonder, which the company says is a major leap forward from previous generations. Its internal code name is “Watermelon”. The model is said to have “cutting-edge capabilities” and can compete with top models such as OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude in fields such as coding and handling financial and legal issues. Developers can call Muse Wonder through the Meta Model API and Muse Code, which will soon provide low-level support for the subscription version of Meta's personal AI assistant Muse. Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang said in an interview on Monday: “This is a truly cutting-edge model. We are convinced that it can compete with the best models on the market, especially in personal and professional intelligent agency tasks.” In response to voices questioning Meta's creation of cutting-edge models, Wang said, “I recommend everyone try it out and judge for themselves.”
