Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on Monday rejecting British claims that Iran is involved in a suspicious plot against the Royal Air Force's Fairford base, calling it a “false flag operation.” The Ministry accuses Britain of filing charges without providing convincing evidence, and criticized the British side for relying on terms such as “very likely” and “almost certain” to link Tehran to the September 27 incident. The Ministry characterized the incident as a “poor false flag operation.” Tehran also accuses London of using these accusations to evade what it claims is British responsibility for participating in US and Israel's military operations against Iran. Earlier, British Prime Minister Burnham assessed on Monday that the suspicious plot was most likely coordinated by Iran, and was almost certainly directed by the Revolutionary Guards.
