12:15 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Eramet (ERA.PA) will launch preparatory work for its 500 million-euro capital increase in the coming days, intending to formally launch the transaction in the fourth quarter of 2026 and complete it no later than mid-2027. The capital increase will involve the participation of the French state through the Agence des Participations de l'Etat, which currently holds 27.1% of the French mining and metallurgy company's total share capital, according to a Monday filing. The investment will require a waiver from the French Financial Markets Authority to avoid triggering a mandatory public offer for the company. Through the capital increase, Eramet is looking to fortify its equity base, maintain regulatory compliance, and continue its strategy. It warned that failure to complete the transaction within its targeted schedule will complicate the refinancing of its debt that will mature in the short term. The company intends to tap a banking syndicate to assist with the preparations for the transaction.
