02:45 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- BP (BP.L) forecasts impairment-related post-tax adjusting items of between $3 billion and $4.5 billion in the three months ended Sept. 30. The energy giant said Tuesday that the estimated charges are mainly attributable to its transition businesses in the gas and low-carbon energy segment and are excluded from underlying replacement cost profit. Reported upstream production is expected to range from 2.19 million barrels of oil equivalent a day to 2.24 million boe/d, mainly reflecting the recovery of seasonal maintenance activity, partly offset by a reduced equity interest in Latin America. The company is scheduled to post its third-quarter results on Oct. 30.
