Trust (SST.L) launched a strategic review to consider future options, including a potential merger with another investment company. The London-listed investment trust said Tuesday the review aims to preserve shareholders' access to Asian smaller companies while addressing their needs for greater scale and secondary-market liquidity. The board appointed Investec Bank to assist with the review and will consider shareholders' expectations for a 25% cash exit opportunity when assessing proposals. The company also decided not to proceed with its previously announced conditional tender offer following shareholder feedback.
