04:04 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alkemy Capital Investments (ALK.L) unit Tees Valley Lithium is developing a new qualification and validation center within the Billingham chemical complex in Teesside, UK. The facility will enable battery and cathode manufacturers to qualify Tees Valley Lithium's battery-grade lithium hydroxide concurrently with development of train 1, skipping the 12-month period from first production to full commercial volumes, according to a Tuesday filing. The critical minerals investment company added that the center will allow validation of various feedstocks such as recycled lithium and processing of Geothermal Engineering's lithium carbonate samples from its Cornwall plant into battery-grade lithium hydroxide.
