06:19 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission cleared the acquisition of joint control of Luxembourg-based Nestlé Waters, a unit of Nestlé (NESN.SW), by US private equity company Platinum Equity Group and the Swiss packaged food and drinks giant. The transaction mainly refers to the supply of bottled and packaged water and beverages, according to a Tuesday release. The authority concluded that the transaction would not raise competition concerns.
