07:31 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Bernstein believes LVMH Moët Hennessy - Louis Vuitton (MC.PA) mix adjustments and accessible pricing could pave the way for a recovery at Louis Vuitton, while noting that any remedial action "will take time to implement." "Louis Vuitton has started to drag on F&LG as macroeconomic conditions in China grow tougher. A creative renewal at Dior continues to bear fruit. Louis Vuitton, in contrast, has remained relatively static. We believe mix-driven adjustments could help LV re-engage with a middle class under pressure; management highlighted material and format innovations - we believe more could be done at entry price points, potentially enhanced by a creative renewal at LV itself," the research firm said Tuesday after the French luxury goods group's third-quarter conference call. Bernstein analysts expect it will take two to three quarters before any turnaround leads to sustained consumer demand. "We have yet to observe a significant change in mix; management emphasizes the need to balance value for money and perceived exclusivity. We believe this leaves LVMH as a 2H27E self-help story... unless LV decided to perform a 'Chanel' = fresh designer(s) and a mix correction behind a wall of newness," the note said. Against this backdrop, analysts lowered their fashion and leather goods forecasts for full-year 2026 and 2027, offset by stronger-than-expected results in Sephora and wines and spirits. Consequently, the research firm's overall EPS estimates for the two years are "largely unchanged" and stand 1.1% and 1.8% below consensus. Bernstein rates the stock at outperform, with a price target of 480 euros.
