07:48 AM EDT, 10/13/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Wärtsilä (WRT1V.HE) secured a contract from Aruba's energy provider, Water- en Energiebedrijf Aruba, to integrate, optimize, and control the power generation assets on the Caribbean island. The Finnish marine and energy technology group will provide a 35-megawatt battery energy storage system along with a services agreement and an energy management system, according to a Tuesday release. Completion is scheduled for the second quarter of 2028. The integrated systems will strengthen the grid's reliability, providing operational flexibility, increasing its share of renewable energy, and reducing the cost of energy delivered.
