Oracle is once again requesting federal regulators to approve a gas pipeline as soon as possible to meet the power needs of its large-scale data center project in New Mexico. Josh Pitcock, Oracle's senior vice president of government affairs, stated in a letter to the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission on Tuesday that if the committee continues to delay approval of pipeline projects operated by Energy Transfer LP's subsidiaries, it will “threaten the progress of the Jupiter project operation, and in turn affect employment opportunities, economic activity, and community benefits brought about by it.” The pipeline, called Green Chile, will deliver approximately 400 million cubic feet of natural gas every day to power fuel cells supplied by Bloom Energy to support the operation of the Jupiter project. Currently, the pipeline's operation has been postponed to February 2027, far later than the previously planned date of operation on August 15.
