GoDaddy faces a securities fraud class-action lawsuit alleging the company misled investors about its customer acquisition and go-to-market strategy. The complaint claims GoDaddy promoted a discounted $4.99 one-year .com domain offer despite previously emphasizing its focus on attracting high-intent, higher-value customers and moving away from front-end discounting. The allegations came to light after GoDaddy reported that fourth-quarter 2025 bookings growth slowed to 5%, down from 9% in the previous quarter and below analyst expectations. The company attributed the slowdown partly to promotional pricing and a shift toward shorter-term contracts, which boosted new customer volume but reduced upfront bookings and near-term revenue.
Despite these concerns, analyst sentiment toward GDDY remains cautiously positive, with the stock carrying a consensus “Moderate Buy” rating. Among the 19 analysts covering the stock, seven recommend a “Strong Buy,” one assigns a “Moderate Buy,” 10 rate it a “Hold,” and one recommends a “Strong Sell.” The average price target of $107.12 suggests potential upside of 4% from the current share price.
