Albertsons Companies, Inc. (NYSE:ACI) on Tuesday reported better-than-expected second-quarter fiscal 2026 results.

Albertsons reported adjusted earnings of 36 cents per share, beating the analyst estimate of 33 cents. Net sales and other revenue fell 0.1% year over year to $18.895 billion but topped the $18.867 billion consensus estimate.

Albertsons withdrew its fiscal 2026 outlook as management conducts a comprehensive review of the business.

“Although our second quarter performance was in-line with the expectations in our revised outlook, our results do not reflect the potential of the Company,” said Susan Morris, Chief Executive Officer. “We are launching a comprehensive business review to speed up improvements in Albertsons’ performance and tackle even harder a cost structure we can no longer afford. Our work will find opportunities to simplify the organization, improve decision-making, reinvest savings in customer value, and boost long-term shareholder returns.”

Albertsons shares fell 1.4% to trade at $12.55 on Wednesday.

These analysts made changes to their price targets on Albertsons following earnings announcement.

  • B of A Securities analyst Kendall Toscano downgraded the stock from Neutral to Underperform and cut the price target from $16 to $12.
  • RBC Capital analyst Steven Shemesh maintained the stock with an Outperform rating and raised the price target from $13 to $16.
