10:05 AM EDT, 10/14/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Airbus (AIR.PA, AIR.F) expects demand for aviation services to double by 2045, creating a need for more than 2.4 million additional skilled people. The European planemaker said Wednesday that workforce needs will include 730,000 maintenance technicians, 660,000 pilots and 1.1 million cabin crew, as the services market will reach an estimated value of over $420 billion by 2045.
