Listen to the news

Warren Buffett no longer oversees Berkshire Hathaway Inc. (NYSE:BRK), but the stock is behaving the way it last did when he still did.

Berkshire stock is on track to close its 10th consecutive session of gains, a run that began on Oct. 1 and has lifted the shares 4.9% to about $522.

The last 10-day winning streak ended Jan. 17, 2018, at the tail end of the tax-cut melt-up, with Buffett in the CEO chair.

A 10-day winning streak has happened only six times in the fund’s history since 1996; the record is 15, set in August 2017.

On Wednesday, Berkshire put another $330 million into AI software firm Bending Spoons (NASDAQ:BSP). Berkshire is among the largest holdings of the Financial Select Sector SPDR Fund (NYSE:XLF).
