12:39 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Banks including UBS Group (UBSG.SW) and Goldman Sachs Group are tightening their lending standards for private credit managers in Australia, Bloomberg News reported Wednesday, citing people familiar with the matter. In recent months, the lenders have focused on extending credit to the largest and highest-tier private market managers, opting out of providing specialized financing to smaller firms and those with heavy exposure to the real estate market in Australia, the report said. Goldman declined to comment, while UBS did not immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires. (Market Chatter news is derived from conversations with market professionals globally.
