Tesla Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA) CEO Elon Musk said that the upcoming Roadster, which is set to debut on October 15, will be one of the best product debuts of all time

Elon Musk Teases ‘Greatest Product Demo’

In a post on the social media platform X on Wednesday, Musk quoted his own post from Tuesday, which teased the Roadster’s imminent debut. “The new Tesla Roadster is a candidate for greatest product demo of all time,” the trillionaire said in his post.

Musk, in his earlier post, added fuel to the speculation about the vehicle, sharing references to Back to the Future movies. Notably, the Roadster was supposed to be showcased on October 1st, but Tesla delayed the debut, citing unfavorable weather conditions, as the event will be held outdoors.

The outdoor nature of the event has also fueled speculation that the Roadster could demonstrate a rumored hovering capability using Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (NASDAQ:SPCX) tech previously used in the Falcon 9 rocket.

However, not everyone remains convinced about the Roadster, with Gerber Kawasaki Wealth Management CEO Ross Gerber questioning why the car needed to have hovering capabilities and saying that the model may be a limited-run vehicle only.

TSLA Stock Falls Nearly 2%

Amid Roadster talks, Tesla shares fell 1.79% during pre-market trading on Thursday, with the EV giant’s stock falling trading at $360.60 per share. On Wednesday, Tesla shares were at $367.16 at market close. Year-to-date (YTD), Tesla’s stock has fallen 18.36%.
