05:33 AM EDT, 10/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Equinor (EQNR.OL) said the Troll West Electrification project in the North Sea will wrap up without the installation of the second electric export compressor on Troll C to ensure high and stable gas supplies to Europe. The Norwegian energy company's Equinor Energy subsidiary operates the Troll gas field with license partners Petoro, Shell (SHEL.L, SHELL.AS) subsidiary Norske Shell, TotalEnergies (TTE.L, TTE.PA) unit TotalEnergies EP Norge, and ConocoPhillips Skandinavia, according to a Thursday release. The partnership informed the Norwegian Ministry of Energy about the revision to the 2021 plan for development and operation, noting that the second compressor installation would have reduced production from Troll C for up to 21 months.
