SK Hynix has now announced the research results of 3D FeNand to achieve simulated in-memory computation, and related research has been published in an IEEE paper. According to the introduction, a-CIM can use analog signals to directly perform multiplication accumulation and addition operations in the memory, reducing data handling and improving processing speed and energy efficiency. SK Hynix said that FeNand can generate various current states within a single storage unit, which is suitable for weight data required for AI calculation.
