Operating under the country's free trade zone regime, the Spanish solar photovoltaic energy company will build the facility across two phases and connect it to Uruguay's 500-kilovolt transmission grid, according to a Thursday filing. The agreement includes an up to 40-year power purchase deal with state-owned utility UTE for solar-generated electricity.
