Meta Platforms is opening the weight file of its Muse Spark open source model for developers to download and modify twice, while keeping its most advanced AI technology private. Alexandr Wang, chief AI officer of Meta, said that in principle, the company will not open source the most powerful models, but will continue to open slightly lower performance model versions to the developer community. The release of Muse Spark Open is one of Meta's initiatives to turn investment in the AI field into actual revenue. Currently, the model is open to developers on various platforms such as Amazon SageMaker AI and Google Cloud Model Garden.
