The rating agency cited the financial strength of the British insurer's insurance business in Asia and the "subordination" of liabilities at the holding company as factors for the rating affirmation. Moody's also highlighted the group's leading position in the Asia-Pacific life insurance markets, solid capital and financial position, and stable underlying profitability. The stable outlook, meanwhile, indicates Moody's expectations that the company will sustain a strong financial and diversified profile, financial flexibility, and profitability over the next 12 months to 18 months.
