03:09 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- African Pioneer (AFP.L) began drilling at its 85%-owned Ongombo project in Namibia as part of a mine development program covering the Ongombo and Ongeama projects. The drilling will provide additional grade and mineralized width data for the project, which has a 2012 JORC mineral resource estimate of 29 million tonnes at 1.1% copper equivalent, the exploration and resource development company said Friday. The program is being conducted under a conditional financing and technical services agreement signed with Hong Kong Xinhai Mining Services in July.
