If you had been weighing Trustpilot Group in October 2025, the choice did not look straightforward. For Trustpilot Group shareholders, the return over the past year was 26.5%, including dividends. That result now sits alongside fresh H1 2026 figures where revenue moved higher but profit slipped into a small loss and net margin turned negative. If you were back at that 2025 decision point, how would you balance enterprise growth hopes against rising questions on profitability quality?
The useful thing about a Narrative is that the reasoning is checkable: the assumptions sit beside the argument, and together they imply an estimated Fair Value you can disagree with.

The shares cost £2.15 at the start of the period, and anyone looking at Trustpilot Group had to choose between two very different stories. Both rested on real business data, not guesswork.
The bullish narrative put Fair Value at £3.24. It leaned on Trustpilot Group pushing deeper into enterprise clients, with higher value contracts and an assumption that operating leverage could support fatter profit margins over time.
The bearish view anchored Fair Value at £1.96. It focused on regulatory pressure and the risk that increasingly sophisticated AI-driven fake reviews would drain user trust and strain long term revenue prospects.
The clearest new fact was H1 2026 performance. Trustpilot Group reported revenue of US$151.356m against US$122.845m in H1 2025, so the growth story stayed alive, while net income moved from a US$2.063m profit to a loss of US$1.124m and net margin slipped from 1.7% to -0.7%. That combination helped the cautious case because profitability progress from 2025 was not yet visible.
The lesson is simple. When a thesis leans on future margin expansion, treat net margin as the first test. Watch whether each new set of accounts shows that figure moving in the same direction as the optimistic story or pulling against it.
Today Trustpilot Group trades at £2.64. The selected Narrative places its Fair Value above that level, framing current pricing as cautious about how much of the AI review ecosystem the business can reliably monetise.
The Narrative leans on Trustpilot’s AI visibility, enterprise mix and capital returns. It argues today’s price still does not credit the platform’s potential role as critical trust infrastructure for AI driven recommendations.
"Bullish analysts expect Trustpilot Group to use its position as the most cited review platform in major AI systems, combined with a growing base of higher value enterprise customers, to support recurring revenue growth that outpaces what the market currently prices in. The main thing that has to go right is that Trustpilot successfully converts its strengthening enterprise mix, high gross margins and AI driven productivity gains into sustained margin expansion while keeping its review integrity ahead of tightening global regulation."
