Lumentum’s outperformance over the past year has been driven by surging AI-related demand for optical connectivity, triple-digit revenue growth, and improving profitability. On August 11, the company reported fiscal Q4 2026 revenue exceeding $1 billion for the first time, up 109% year over year, while adjusted EPS of $3.23 surpassed the high end of its guidance. Growing demand for AI data center connectivity is boosting sales of its optical components and switching solutions, with optical circuit switch shipments doubling sequentially. Additionally, Lumentum’s strong fiscal Q1 2027 revenue and earnings guidance reinforced its growth outlook. Following the announcement, LITE shares surged 13.6% in the next trading session.

Analysts remain bullish on LITE, with the stock carrying a consensus "Strong Buy" rating. Of the 25 analysts covering the stock, 18 recommend a "Strong Buy," two rate it a "Moderate Buy," and five recommend a "Hold." Meanwhile, LITE’s average price target of $1,167 implies a 34.2% premium over the current share price.
