09:22 AM EDT, 10/16/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Italy's air traffic management capacity has grown to 75% from 50% following issues with the data transmission network that supports air traffic control services. Italian air navigation service company ENAV said Friday the effort was due to the activation of its secondary satellite network, adding that it is working with its service providers to return to 100% capacity "as quickly as possible." Earlier in the day, ENAV ruled out "malicious activity" as a potential cause of the anomalies detected overnight. The said issues caused delays at airports across Italy.
