The Ames, Iowa-based bank said it had earnings of 80 cents per share.

The bank posted revenue of $27.1 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $20.4 million.

Ames National shares have increased 39% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Friday, shares hit $31.91, a rise of 62% in the last 12 months.
