11:42 PM EDT, 10/18/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Unipol Assicurazioni (UNI.MI) secured approval from the Italian Competition Authority to acquire sole control of Italian lender Bper Banca (BPE.MI). The Italian insurer said on Oct. 16 that the approval formally completed all authorization processes required for the transaction.
