05:32 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Clean Power Hydrogen (CPH2.L) started remedial research and design work to address factors that could have contributed to an incident during the final factory acceptance testing of its 1-megawatt MFE220 membrane-free electrolyzer. Following an extensive internal technical investigation, the company said Monday it determined that the incident was not due to a single definitive ignition source but was instead likely due to several "unrelated" factors, such as gas velocity and particle impingement, and certain check valve specifications and configuration, among others. The hydrogen technology company plans to provide a revised design package for relevant licensees and prospective manufacturing partners, subject to satisfactory test results and board approval of the investigation's conclusions.
