06:38 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission raised preliminary concerns that KKR & Co. provided "incorrect and/or misleading information" during its review of the company's acquisition of NetCo. In a statement of objections sent to KKR, the commission said Monday that KKR may have given inaccurate details on the terms of its existing long-term agreements under which FiberCop supplied wholesale services to third-party operators, including an agreement that certain terms could not be changed unless mutually agreed upon, during the commission's requests for information under the European Union Merger Regulation. In response to MT Newswires' request for comment, a KKR spokesperson said that the company "strongly disagrees" with the commission's preliminary assessment and will "vigorously challenge" the allegations, adding that it stands behind the accuracy of the information it provided during the review. KKR completed the acquisition of NetCo from Telecom Italia (TIT.MI) in July 2024, bringing TIM's primary and secondary networks together under FiberCop.
