In September, digital lottery sales were 13.942 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.01 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.3%; lottery ticket sales were 39.386 billion yuan, an increase of 16.630 billion yuan, an increase of 73.1%; instant lottery ticket sales were 9,967 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1,740 billion yuan, a decrease of 14.9%; Keno lottery sales were 4,094 billion yuan, an increase of 668 million yuan, an increase of 19.5% over the previous year. In September, digital lotto, quiz, instant, and keno lottery sales accounted for 20.7%, 58.4%, 14.8%, and 6.1% of total lottery ticket sales, respectively. Video lottery sales were 0.005.3 billion yuan, a decrease of 001 billion yuan over the same period last year.
Cumulative January-September sales of digital lotto tickets were 129.044 billion yuan, down 4.2%; lottery ticket sales were 295.929 billion yuan, up 87.089 billion yuan, up 41.7%; instant lottery ticket sales were 91,812 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 9.544 billion yuan, a decrease of 9.4%; Keno lottery sales were 29.031 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.3% year-on-year. In January-September, digital lotto, quiz, instant, and keno lottery sales accounted for 23.7%, 54.2%, 16.8%, and 5.3% of total lottery ticket sales, respectively. Video lottery sales were 0.045.4 billion yuan, an increase of 0.026.9 million yuan over the previous year.
III. Lottery ticket sales by region
In September, compared with the same period last year, lottery ticket sales in all 31 provinces across the country achieved positive growth. Among them, Shandong, Henan, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu increased significantly, with year-on-year increases of 1.6 billion yuan, 1.43 billion yuan, 1.16 billion yuan, and 1.05 billion yuan, respectively.
Cumulative from January to September, lottery ticket sales in 31 provinces across the country achieved positive growth. Among them, Shandong, Henan, Guangdong, and Zhejiang increased significantly, with year-on-year increases of 6.17 billion yuan, 5.97 billion yuan, 5.60 billion yuan, and 5.24 billion yuan, respectively.
Lottery agencies at all levels should closely follow up and analyze new situations and issues, effectively strengthen lottery ticket distribution and sales, and ensure the smooth operation of the market.
