08:07 AM EDT, 10/19/2026 (MT Newswires) -- B&M European Value Retail (BME.L) is looking to buy some stores owned by Poundland as part of the rival discounter's ongoing sales process, Sky News reported Monday, citing a source familiar with the matter. The British retailer is targeting select locations out of Poundland's nearly 600 sites across the UK and Ireland. Financial advisers Alvarez & Marsal are also overseeing the sale, which could see Poundland being acquired in full or broken up. B&M told MT Newswires it does not comment on media speculation.
