Tel Aviv startup DoubleAI is about to launch what it calls a new category of artificial intelligence that can help businesses cut computing costs. Amnon Sashua, the company's co-founder and CEO, is also the founder of the autonomous driving company Mobileye. DoubleAI's investors include Lightspeed Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Nvidia, and Dell, which have raised a total of US$220 million. DoubleAI refers to this new AI category as a “code execution model,” saying that it is positioned between code and chip. The big language model can help humans write code, and the code execution model is embedded in the running program and can work without human intervention.
