Super League Enterprise, Inc. (NASDAQ:SLE) stockholders on Monday approved all proposals connected to Japan-based Metaplanet, Inc.’s (OTC: MTPLF) planned strategic investment.

Metaplanet’s BTC Treasury Firm in US?

Under the agreement, Metaplanet Holdings, Inc., Metaplanet’s wholly owned U.S. subsidiary, will transfer 2,100 Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC), together with $2.5 million in cash, to Super League at closing.

Super League valued the BTC at approximately $132.1 million, based on Bitcoin’s Coinbase Exchange closing price at 4 p.m. New York time on Aug. 14.

After the deal closes, Super League will be renamed “Superplanet, Inc.” and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “SUPA,” becoming Metaplanet’s U.S. Bitcoin treasury platform.

The transaction is expected to close during the fourth quarter of 2026.

The Big Bitcoin Whale

Often called "Asia’s Strategy," Metaplanet is the world’s second-largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, leaving it second only to Strategy Inc. (NASDAQ: MSTR).

The Tokyo-headquartered company currently holds 44,000 BTC, valued at $3.59 billion, as of this writing. Bitcoin currently makes up the majority of Metaplanet’s assets on its balance sheet.

Metaplanet’s total market value, including debt and preferred stock, remained below the value of its Bitcoin holdings as of this writing.

Price Action: Super League rose 0.83% in after-hours trading, according to Benzinga Pro. The stock closed 6.90% higher at $4.80 during Monday’s regular trading session.

Benzinga’s Edge Stock Rankings indicate that SLE has maintained a stronger price trend over the short and medium term, though it lagged in the long term.
