06:16 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European Commission cleared Italy-based MerMec's takeover by technology group Siemens' (SIE.F) Siemens Mobility unit, according to a Tuesday notice. The regulator said the transaction, which concerns rolling stock, rail diagnostics, electrification, and signalling supply, would raise competition concerns.
