11:28 AM EDT, 10/20/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The UK Competition and Markets Authority invited comments on possible remedies for Nexfibre's planned acquisition of British fiber broadband provider Substantial Topco, according to a Tuesday release. The invitation follows the regulator's Oct. 2 interim report, which provisionally found competition concerns in the wholesale fixed broadband market after a phase 2 investigation into the British telecommunications company's proposed takeover. Interested parties have until 5 pm local time on Oct. 27 to comment on the remedies.
