On Tuesday, Cathie Wood-led Ark Invest kept trimming its position in Palantir Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:PLTR).
Ark sold 27,790 Palantir shares through the ARK Innovation ETF (BATS:ARKK). The trade was worth approximately $5.4 million, based on Tuesday’s closing price of $192.60.
The firm continued trimming Palantir after selling 18,349 shares on Monday, worth approximately $3.6 million at that session’s closing price of $194.15. Across the two sessions, Ark sold 46,139 shares, with an estimated combined value of nearly $9 million.
Separately, Charles Schwab’s George Tsilis warned that Palantir’s valuation already assumed prolonged exceptional performance, even as the company delivered rapid revenue growth.
Tsilis said Palantir traded at approximately 124 times forward earnings, compared with about 22 times for application software peers. He questioned whether growth could remain strong enough to justify a valuation that “already prices in years of exceptional execution.”
Palantir reported approximately $1.94 billion in second-quarter revenue, up 93% year over year. U.S. commercial revenue increased 149% to $764 million.
Tsilis highlighted Palantir’s ability to connect AI models with customers’ proprietary data and business operations. However, he noted that international commercial adoption had lagged domestic growth, leaving expansion concentrated in the United States.
Benzinga Edge Stock Rankings indicate Palantir stock has a Momentum score in the 5th percentile.
