01:16 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Swiss-listed indoor climate systems manufacturer Zehnder Group (ZEHN.SW) plans to liquidate its joint venture in China and discontinue production of ventilation units at the Dachang site, affecting 80 positions. Zehnder and its minority partner BBMG decided to liquidate Zehnder (China) Indoor Climate Co. Of the total layoffs, 30 positions are office-based, and 50 are production-related, according to a Wednesday release. The planned closure of the Dachang site and the consolidation of ventilation activities in Pinghu are aimed at optimizing production and organizational structures in response to changing market conditions in the Chinese real estate sector, the company said. With one-off restructuring costs of 8 million euros, the company expects annual savings of 1.5 million euros from the plan.
