02:59 AM EDT, 10/21/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Aterian (ATN.L) secured a four-year extension of its exploration license for the Kinunga project, or HCK, in southern Rwanda, it said Wednesday. The country's Mines, Petroleum and Gas Board approved the extension, which would support the critical metals-focused company's evaluation of a staged tantalum-niobium development opportunity and further exploration of lithium mineralization in fresh rock. Initial metallurgical testwork at the project is ongoing, while the company is in talks with potential technical and development partners.
