WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — WALLA WALLA, Wash. (AP) — Banner Corp. (BANR) on Wednesday reported third-quarter net income of $47.7 million.

The Walla Walla, Washington-based company said it had net income of $1.36 per share. Earnings, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to $1.51 per share.

The results fell short of Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.54 per share.

The regional bank posted revenue of $230 million in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $177.3 million, also falling short of Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $182.9 million.

Banner shares have risen almost 9% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $68.15, a rise of 8% in the last 12 months.
