Swedencare just reported Q3 2026, and the story is simple. The pet health specialist delivered its strongest quarter of the year in both sales and profitability, yet the share price closed at SEK18.8 after a run of weak recent returns, down about 18% over 7 days and 12% over 30 days. That disconnect puts the spotlight on one thing: earnings power. Revenue reached SEK737.9m with basic earnings per share of SEK0.18, and the debate now is whether that improving profit trend justifies a market that still treats the stock with caution.

Swedencare’s bullish case leans heavily on higher value manufacturing projects turning into real earnings power.
"Investment in sterile fill and finish capacity in Montreal, backed by an anchor client and described as addressing an unmet need in animal health, expands Swedencare's addressable CMO market into injectables and potentially vaccines, which can increase higher value development and manufacturing revenue and support EBITDA."
The latest quarter shows this manufacturing story moving, but still in early innings. Production revenue grew with 11% organic progress and an FDA pre approval inspection for a Vetio prescription product passed with no observations, which validates regulatory execution. Group operational EBITDA and margins stayed healthy, though slightly compressed, so the higher value CMO pipeline is not yet offsetting broader North American softness.

The cautious view argues that Swedencare’s pharma and manufacturing story can keep slipping, even as new projects line up.
"Pharma and contract manufacturing projects have already seen postponements and weaker vet channel demand. Further delays in tech transfers, order push outs or slow capacity ramp up could restrict higher margin pharma revenue and reduce the group EBITDA margin compared with management’s longer term targets."
Q3 results partly echo that concern. Organic growth reached only 2% against management’s own target of approximately 7%, with several veterinary and retail orders pushed into Q4. Production revenue showed 11% organic progress, yet group operational EBITDA dipped and margin eased to 20.5%, so higher margin projects are not offsetting execution hiccups at this stage.
Swedencare shows how improving profits can sit beside a cautious share price. The real opportunity could sit in stocks where fundamentals quietly outgrow the valuation.
