Ovzon just posted Q3 2026 numbers and the share price closed at SEK34.92 on the day of the release, roughly flat over the past week after a softer few months. The market looked cautious. The earnings print looked anything but.
The satellite communications group delivered Q3 revenue of SEK221m with net income of SEK47m, keeping the recent profitability story intact while running an EBITDA margin near the mid 40% range on a trailing 12 month view. Price action hints at doubt. The financials point to a margin machine that investors are still learning how to price.

The bullish story hangs on contract depth turning into durable utilization and cash. That idea is captured here.
"The SEK 1.04b, 24 month Swedish Defence Materiel Administration contract, plus follow on terminal orders and a SEK 1.5b order book, give a multi year workload that can support higher utilization of Ovzon 3 and leased capacity."
Q3 results show Ovzon tracking this script on execution. Rolling 12 month revenue is around SEK 1b, EBITDA margin is near 42% and net debt to EBITDA is about 0.5. Order intake rose roughly 65% year on year, with the SEK 90m U.S. government deal and new NATO business reinforcing that multi year workload thesis rather than weakening it.

Bears argue that Ovzon’s current backlog only masks future weakness once procurement habits change and the pipeline thins out.
"Growing defense and national security spending in Europe is supporting Ovzon's current order book. However, if procurement priorities shift toward alternative constellations or fully sovereign national systems, Ovzon could see slower new contract awards and weaker revenue visibility once the current SEK 1.5b backlog is worked down, which would pressure future revenue growth."
Q3 does not settle that worry. Order intake rose roughly 65% with fresh NATO and U.S. government wins. However, backlog sits around SEK570m, well below the prior SEK1.5b reference, so long term visibility still looks thinner than that earlier peak.
Ovzon just showed how strong numbers and a cautious price can coexist for a while. The real opportunity sits in spotting stocks that could be undervalued before sentiment adjusts.
