06:22 AM EDT, 10/22/2026 (MT Newswires) -- NFL Biosciences (ALNFL.PA) obtained regulatory approvals to begin its Phase 2 Tonic study evaluating NFL-102 for smoking and nicotine cessation. The biopharmaceutical company said Thursday it received clearance from the French National Agency for Medicines and Health Products Safety and the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects. The randomized double-blind, placebo-controlled trial is expected to enroll a total of 310 smokers in France, with the enrollment of the first 40 participants in part A set for November 2026, with results expected in April 2027. The primary endpoint is continuous abstinence for four weeks, confirmed by urinary cotinine.
