Zhitong Finance App News, Shiyao Group (01093) announced that the phase II clinical trial of SYH2066 tablets (this product) developed by the Group to treat respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infection has been officially launched at the first research center in China.

This product is a small-molecule RSV fusion protein (F protein) inhibitor and is registered as a chemical class 1. By binding to RSV's F protein, this product blocks conformational changes and makes it unable to mediate membrane fusion between the virus and host cells, thereby preventing the virus from entering the host cell for replication.

Previously, the Group was issued a “Drug Clinical Trial Approval Notice” for this product by the State Drug Administration of the People's Republic of China in September 2025, and immediately initiated a single-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, single and multiple dose escalations among Chinese health participants to evaluate the product's safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetic characteristics and food effects among Chinese health participants. At present, phase I clinical trial data have initially verified the safety and pharmacokinetic characteristics of this product in humans. The data shows that the oral administration of this product is safe.

The clinical trial initiated this time is a multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled phase II clinical trial aimed at evaluating the efficacy and safety of this product in Chinese adult RSV infected participants. Currently, the recruitment and screening of participants for this clinical trial is being actively promoted.
