The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to the Midland Property Research Center's comprehensive “First-hand Residential Property Sales Information Network” data and market news, the transaction amount for first-hand private homes in Hong Kong this year (as of October 21) has reached about HK$205 billion, which is equivalent to the full year of last year. That is, it only took less than 10 months this year, and it has tied the record for the full year of last year.

It is worth noting that the transaction value of first-hand private homes in Hong Kong has surpassed HK$200 billion for two consecutive years. This is the first time since 2017 and 2018, reflecting the strong ability to attract new capital in recent years.

According to data, this year (as of October 21), there were 4,910 first-hand private home transactions over HK$10 million, which is about 8.7% higher than the 4,515 cases last year, reflecting the rise in demand for housing exchanges and the rise in demand for luxury homes.

If the volume of first-hand private homes over HK$10 million is broken down by region, Kai Tak District had the most prominent performance this year (as of October 21). A total of 1,172 cases were recorded, accounting for about 23.9% of total first-hand private home transactions over HK$10 million in Hong Kong, which is significantly higher than in other regions.
