On a per-share basis, the Itasca, Illinois-based company said it had profit of 25 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 38 cents per share.

The maker acoustic components such as microphones posted revenue of $184 million in the period.

Knowles expects full-year earnings in the range of 39 cents to 43 cents per share, with revenue in the range of $180 million to $190 million.
