The Zhitong Finance App learned that Citibank released a research report saying that the controlling shareholder of Bruker (00325) reduced its shareholding by about 1.56%. It is expected that investor sentiment will be negatively affected in the short term. The bank maintains a “buy” rating and target price of HK$82.

Zhu Weisong, the controlling shareholder, chairman of the board of directors, executive director and CEO of Bruco (00325), sold approximately 3.849 million shares at HK$65.28 per share, equivalent to about 1.56% of the company's shares. The price was discounted by about 6% from the closing price on October 21, and cashed out over HK$250 million.

Citi pointed out that the proceeds were used to meet the controlling shareholders' own capital needs and financial arrangements, and had nothing to do with Bruker's business. After the holdings were reduced, Zhu Weisong's shareholding fell from 53.59% to 52.03%. It is expected that investor sentiment will be negatively affected in the short term, as the market is concerned about the controlling shareholders' capital needs and is also reminiscent of the Haidilao (06862) situation.
