04:11 AM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Halo Minerals' (HALO.L) subsidiary Minera Playa Verde received a key mining permit for the Playa Verde copper and gold tailings processing project in Chile. The permit required under the Chilean Mining Code allows dredging of mineral-bearing material at Chañaral beach and within parts of the urban zone, according to a Friday release. The copper development company said it can now move to secure other permits, including a mining easement application expected to be approved in the coming weeks, while progressing its maritime concession application.
