04:33 AM EDT, 10/23/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Smoltek Nanotech (SMOL.ST) secured 2 million kronor in funding from the Swedish Energy Agency to support the development of next-generation battery technologies, according to a Friday release. The funding comprises a 500,000-krona direct grant for an initial study of battery concepts based on the nanotechnology company's carbon nanofiber technology alongside RISE Research Institutes of Sweden and 1.5 million kronor to participate in a MAXBATT consortium project exploring how emerging technologies can be integrated into future battery materials, cell architectures, and manufacturing processes.
