The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of 10 analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 6 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $1.08 billion in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $530 million, which also fell short of Street forecasts. Eight analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $537.4 million.
